Curtis R. Dumas, P.E.

Principal Engineer | Segma Engineering Group, LLC

With nearly five decades of expertise in civil engineering, Curtis R. Dumas, P.E. brings unparalleled knowledge and leadership to Segma Engineering Group, LLC. A graduate of Lamar University with a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Mr. Dumas has been a driving force in civil design, construction management, and environmental engineering since 1974.
As a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Texas and a Certified Special Inspector for the City of Houston, he has successfully overseen and executed a wide range of projects, including infrastructure, commercial, residential, and utility developments. His extensive background spans construction management, site investigation and permitting, utility design, and environmental compliance.
Throughout his career, Mr. Dumas has contributed to numerous high-profile projects, including:

With nearly 40 years of experience in civil engineering, Lee Dumas, P.E. is a seasoned leader in large-scale public works projects spanning rail structures, highways, bridges, airports, ports, and tunnels. His expertise in both design and construction management makes him an invaluable asset to Segma Engineering Group, LLC, where he provides strategic consulting and technical oversight on complex infrastructure projects.

Mr. Dumas has served as Resident Engineer on multiple heavy rail transit programs, overseeing construction phases, safety compliance, and engineering design. His professional certifications in transportation planning, risk management, construction safety, cost estimating, value engineering, and claims management underscore his comprehensive understanding of infrastructure development.

Micheal A. Cummings

Lead MEP Engineer | Senior Project Engineer

With over four decades of expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering, Micheal A. Cummings is a leader in designing and managing complex infrastructure projects. A graduate of the University of Houston with a background in civil engineering, Mr. Cummings has played a pivotal role in shaping commercial, municipal, and industrial developments across Houston and beyond.

As Lead MEP Engineer and Senior Project Engineer at Segma Engineering Group, LLC, he specializes in HVAC and plumbing design, system calculations, and project coordination, ensuring seamless integration of MEP systems across disciplines. His role extends to attending project meetings, preparing and negotiating fee proposals, reviewing shop drawings, and overseeing construction phases to maintain compliance with industry codes and standards.

With decades of experience in architectural design, construction, and education, Ron Kent, AIA is a seasoned Registered Architect in the State of Texas with a distinguished career spanning residential, commercial, public, educational, and resort developments. His expertise in architecture, urban planning, and design innovation makes him a valuable asset to Segma Engineering Group, LLC.

Mr. Kent’s architectural journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, followed by graduate studies at UT Arlington, Rice University, and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. His commitment to excellence extends beyond design—he is a Construction Document Technologist and a former Registered Interior Designer and Registered Builder in Texas.
